I've been playing a bit with a new polymer technique. It was so refreshing to get into my clay again. The color mixing was great for me to spark my polymer interest. Now I'm using my new custom colors and putting them together in a brand new way. I'm not totally pleased with the results yet, but they are promising. I spent all weekend in the studio. I found that if I leave the space heater on all the time, and not just when I'm sitting down there, that it will actually get up to 62F!! Woo!
My non-polymer friend looked at all my color chips and then gave me a look like I was insane. I said that I sometimes got a bit obsessive with experiments. She said, "a bit?" She thought the whole concept would make a good article or class, but I thought that there was nothing really new to color mixing. It's not like I developed it or anything.
Speaking of classes, I still haven't received any forms for Art & Soul in Portland. I've developed some new classes since I did the one in VA, so I guess I'll try to forward them to Glenny this week. I hope I haven't missed out.
I'm going to have to back out of the class I was to take with Keith LoBue in April. The new house has sucked up all our money. I'm terribly disappointed. Also I probably won't be able to go to the polymer retreat in Detroit this year. I've been going for about 5 years, and I really enjoy it. poo. Now is a good time to buy one of my big books so I can continue to take classes!!
How about this one?
