i attended my polymer clay guild meeting for the first time in a while on wednesday. while i was there i was able to sand some artist tools (awls, exactos, pens). i was glad i was able to use the time productively. polyform, which makes the clay i use, gifted us with some discontinued clay. they are based in illinois and are really good to our guild.
i was still in the sanding mood when i got home, so i attacked some books. this picture shows the books after sanding. notice the dust mask. i made a lot of dust! most of these books still need a lot of work. i will have to fill the well of the one on the right, drill binding holes and probably accent the texture with acrylic paint. i will also buff them all to hopefully reduce the scratching i made with my 50 grit sandpaper. i still have plenty more to sand!
