We had a really full weekend here in Chicago. I worked on tagging, pricing and inventorying my books. I still have a few to bind, and I want to make some bookmarks as well. I had to take some time off to make John's anniversary present. I printed an image of us on silk, and created a fabric collage with a linen background. He got me a linen jacket and a silk scarf. The anniversary themes are fun, but sometimes a bit of a challenge!
Sunday we went out for our massages, brunch, and then to the antique mart. Some things were unbelievably expensive!! But I got some enamelware, some hooks to hang plants, small metal numbers (which I used in John's collage), and a bunch of wooden boxes to house books. We came home and took a nap, and then headed out to Millenium Park for dinner at the Park Grill. Afterwards we walked around the Park. I really like the new Cloud Gate sculpture.
Yesterday I did a bunch more weeding, and pruned the roses. It's best to wear gloves while doing that! We had a few friends over for our first barbeque in the new house.
Today, back to work. I have to see a couple of patients, and finish up tagging my books.
