i was feeling that i was in a bit of a rut, so last week i had my friend carrie dye my hair with fuchsia streaks. i think it's the kind of thing that kids do. but i'm still at it. whenever i get my nails done, i choose black polish. my manicurist always says, "this is the only polish my niece will wear." she is 12.
i've had the hair dye for forever, and finally decided to use it. i'm glad i did. i don't go see the stylist until next month. i've been worried she'll yell at me. isn't that silly? i'm fortunate not to have a day job right now. i can alter my appearance however i want without repercussions. i did have some problems when i was working as a physical therapist in a nursing home. the administration wanted me to remove my nose ring. i took it out one morning and thought i'd be able to put it back in when i got home. i was wrong. it closed up in just that short amount of time. i had to go back to the tattoo parlor and have them put it back in.
this weekend i'm getting another tattoo. i've had the image idea in mind for about a year. i wanted to write "to heal" in an indian language. my husband talked to people at work and they wrote it out for them in a bunch of different languages.
i like to make fun of myself, so i enjoy the blog "stuff white people like." this week they talked about tattoos.
