i'm still trying to catch up to the present!
at the early part of last week, after taking nina's class, i headed off to michigan to participate in a formation retreat: "living the life of an artist". judy, who co-ran the retreat, had taken a class from me at creative inspirations earlier in the year.
it was a nice peaceful setting, with what i thought were luxurious accommodations:
i had this little cabin all to myself!
it had a wee kitchen and a bathroom and a lovely porch off the back:
plus, it had a meditation area:
after spending a lot of time on this and other zafus, i have decided i need my own.
the retreat center had a central meeting house where we spent most of our time.
we participated in a lot of activities designed to explore our lives as artists. i made the mandala from my last post, walked the labyrinth, created a visual life line/personal history.... i have to say that the labyrinth was my favorite part.
there were some very interesting people there, and i wished i wasn't so tuckered out from all the driving and the excitement of nina's workshop.
